The weather has been in favor of us motorcycle riding folks, and with that comes a few things I feel need addressed. Yes, we know they’re dangerous, we are well aware of that. We can control what we’re doing, but we have no control over what you do. If you see us doing something a little wonky, there is more or less a reason behind it. We’re constantly looking ahead with great distance to plan for any and all situations that could result in us needing to find an escape route. Riding isn’t just fun, it is mentally taxing. We need to be 100% aware at all times; a slip up on our end can result in death. Negligence on your end can do just as much to us as our own screw-ups. You might get a boo-boo and a dented car at worst and living with yourself knowing your choice caused someone to not make it home. Mmkay? If you are sitting at a stop sign with flowing traffic, please double, triple, heck quadruple check that no motorcycles are coming your way. “Look twice save a life” isn’t some catchy trend, in fact it’s a big deal. We don’t ride with our high beams on just to be jerks; we’re increasing our chances of you seeing us. We may even wiggle back and forth in our lane so you can see us better. Saying “sorry I didn't see him/her is not an excuse. Keep your eyes open, put your phones down and pay attention! I will continue with my rant next month so until then, play hard, love even harder. God Bless!
